About Artist
Creates petroleum paintings. Kiryl was born and raised in Rechitsa, considered the petroleum-producing capital of Belarus. Date of birth: September 7, 1998. Interesting fact: Petroleum and Gas Workers' Day, often referred to as "Oilman's Day," is celebrated annually in the CIS countries on the first Sunday in September. In 2025, the first Sunday in September falls on September 7, the artist's birthday. He graduated from the Gomel State Art College with a degree in art history and pedagogy. He spent the last years of his life in Paris, where he exhibited and studied the works of leading international artists. His family history is closely intertwined with two disciplines: painting and petroleum painting. My great-grandfather studied at the Vilnius Academy of Arts but never graduated because the Great Patriotic War began, and he volunteered to serve as a signalman. My great-grandfather's son dedicated his life to the oil industry. The next generation—the artist's uncle and father—followed his example. Father worked in the petroleum industry for over 25 years. Each work of art, created using petroleum and petroleum products, possesses a unique structure and visual depth, demonstrating the uniqueness of his artistic technique. The artist identifies with Abstract Expressionism. He deliberately avoids depicting objects, engaging with the viewer through non-figurative forms, inviting them to explore their own life story, the visual component of his works, and the material itself. Each individual may see their own image in the desired works, but there are no images, there is only abstraction and petroleum, nothing else.
